About the Company
This manufacturing company has been established as one of the leading suppliers in its sector, in the United Kingdom and Ireland, for over 35 years. They are looking for a Part Time (30 hours a week) Accounts Assistant to join their team.
The role will be based in the office and work closely with the Financial Controller but hours can be flexible (spread over 5 days or condensed into 4 to suit)
Role Details
- Resolve sales invoice queries internally and externally
- Pursue overdue invoices through phone, email, fostering professional customers relationships
- Producing and sending out statements of account at the beginning of the month.
- Posting and allocating customer payments in Sage, processing customer payments made over the phone.
- Maintain a detailed log in the accounting system, including call references and dates.
- Check new customers on ICSM and email financial controller for credit limit approval.
- Monthly/Fortnightly aged debtors reporting to financial controller, ensuring the risk of bad debt is minimised.
- Enter supplier invoices/credit notes in Sage and save them in the folder.
- Check receipts for fuel against invoices received from fuel card company
- Managing any invoice queries that arise and ensuring all issues are resolved.
- Tally petty cash with receipts at the end of each month.
- Order stationery and domestic supplies, tea, coffee, paper towel etc
- Open post
- Support Financial Controller on day-to-day activities.
