Financial Controller

We are delighted to be supporting a private equity backed professional services group with the appointment of a Financial Controller to work closely with the Finance Director and help support the next phase of growth.

The successful candidate will operate as the number two to the FD, with significant exposure to senior leadership and investors, and the opportunity to progress into a Finance Director position over time.

Financial reporting and control

• Production and oversight of monthly management accounts
• Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
• Preparation of financial statements and audit support
• Ownership of budgeting and forecasting processes

FP&A and commercial analysis

• Development of FP&A reporting and performance analysis
• Detailed data mining and financial modelling
• Analysis of pricing, margins, WiP and deferred revenue
• Supporting leadership with decision making insights

Systems and reporting improvement

• Enhancing reporting processes and management information
• Working across finance systems and reporting tools including Xero, IRIS and reporting platforms
• Supporting the development of improved data reporting and dashboards

Team management

• Managing and supporting an offshore finance team based in India
• Working with the FD on the longer-term structure of the finance function

Private equity reporting

• Supporting investor reporting and communication with PE analysts
• Delivering high quality analysis to tight reporting deadlines

• ACA / ACCA qualified accountant
• Experience operating at Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager level
• Strong management accounts, financial reporting and forecasting experience
• Commercial mindset with FP&A and data analysis capability
• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
• Experience working in private equity backed or fast-growth environments desirable
• Comfortable working in a fast paced, delivery focused environment
